Tequila Sunrise
1 Collins glass, filled with ice
1 oz. Tequila
7 oz. Orange juice
1/2 oz. Grenadine Syrup
1 pc. Maraschino cherry
Fill the Collins glass with ice. Put the tequila and fill with orange juice. Stir well. Top with grenadine syrup. Garnish with cherry.
2. Emerald Thespian
This drink is for casual drinkers.
1 Highball glass (It’s long and thin), filled with ice
1 oz. vodka
1/2 oz.Melon Liqueur (you may use Bol’s Melon Lequeur)
5 oz. Sprite or 7 - up
Put all ingredients in glass and stir well.
3. Orgasm
1 Stemmed glass
1 Mixing cup or blender
2 Cups ice
1 Strainer
1/2 oz. White creme de cacao liqueur
1/2 oz. amaretto
1/2 oz. Triple sec
1/2 oz. vodka
1 oz. cream
Chill stemmed glass by filling it with ice. Fill blending cup 1/4th of the way with ice. Measure liqueurs first then pour into blending cup. Add cream last. Blend at medium speed for 5 seconds (If you dont have a blender, put everything in a mixing cup and shake at least 12 times). Remove ice from chilled glass. Strain ingredients into glass.
4. Popsicle
1 Highball glass, filled with ice
1 oz. Amaretto
3 oz. Orange juice
3 oz. Cream
Put all ingredients in glass and stir well
5. Zamboanga Hummer
1 Collins glass (it looks like a tumbler)
1/2 oz. Amber or gold rum
1/2 oz. Brandy
1/2 oz. Orange Curacao or Triple Sec
1/2 oz. Gin
2 oz. Orange Juice
2 oz. Pineapple juice
1/2 oz. Lemon juice
1 tsp. Brown Sugar
Shake all ingredients with ice and pour into a Collins glass.
6. Margarita
1 Stemmed glass, filled with ice
1 Mixing cup
1 oz. Tequila
1/2 oz. Orange Curacao or Triple Sec
1 1/2 oz. Fresh Lime juice
1 oz. Coarse salt
2 pc. Lemon or Lime wedge
Moisten the rim of the glass with lemon or lime wedge. Put salt on a plate and rub the rim of the glass onto the salt to frost the rim. Fill the glass with ice cubes. Add the tequila, orange curacao (or triple sec) and lime juice into the mixing cup. Pour into stemmed glass and garnish with a slice of lemon or lime.
7. Cosmopolitan
1 Martini glass
1 oz. Vodka (citron-flavor is recommended)
1/2 oz. Triple sec or Orange liqueur (Grand Marnier or Cointreau is good)
1/2 oz. Lime juice
1/2 oz. Cranberry juice
1 pc. Lemon or lime wedge
Shake vodka, triple sec, lime and cranberry juice vigorously in a shaker with ice. Strain it to a Martini glass, garnish it with lemon or lime wedge on the rim, and serve.
8. Caliraya Coco Loco
1 Bolo or machete
1 Fresh young coconut (buko)
1 oz. rum (light)
1 tsp. white sugar (1 oz. sugar syrup)
1 cup ice
1 pc straw
If possible, chill the coconut before opening. Chop the top of a fresh coconut with a bolo, creating a 2″ hole. Pour white rum into the coconut then mix in sugar with a long spoon (knife or bolo if you dont have a spoon). If the coconut wasn’t previously chilled, put the cubes of ice into the hole. Stir and serve with a straw. You can also make this with bottled buko juice for convenience.
9. Jello Shots
2 Cups boiling water
1 Mixing bowl, medium sized
1 six oz. package of gelatin (flavored or unflavored)
6 oz. cold water
10 oz. vodka
40 1 oz. shot cups or 20 2 oz. shot cups
1 pair scissors
1 sheet cling wrap
Bring water to a boil then remove from stove. Stir together boiling water and powdered gelatin in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Stir constantly until gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir in cold water and vodka. Pour mixture into shot glasses or individual shot-size (1 oz. or 2 oz.) plastic cups. Place shots on a tray in refrigerator (not the freezer). Cut cling wrap into pieces and individually cover each cup top. Chill until firm.
